I am an 80’s kid, a science-nerd, and skeptic/atheist from Hampton Roads, Virginia. I attended undergrad here at Old Dominion University, for Psychology & Sociology. I also worked for several years in the local restaurant scene and developed a passion for cooking & oenology.
I recently moved back to the area, after I finished a Master’s program for Industrial-Organizational Psychology down in North Carolina, and I am here as I transition into a career in this area. My academic focus has been organizational behavior, statistics & research methods, survey design, occupational health, and human factors.
My academic focus has been organizational behavior, statistics & research methods, survey design, occupational health, and human factors. Though I am finished with school, I enjoy feeding my unquenchable curiosity, which pushes me to discover new interests all the time. Some of those include cosmology, astrophysics, and science/technology in general. Of course, I still try to keep up with the latest developments in the social sciences as well, including areas outside of my primary focus such as neuropsych, cognitive, and social psychology.
I have aways had a penchant for social justice issues, which is what led me to create this page in the first place. After recently uncovering some essays/journals that I had written for various Sociology courses at ODU, I wanted to share them with others because the ideas explored within have maintained a striking relevance in 2016 (particularly with regards to political and social issues). Since I didn’t have an existing website or Tumblr page on which I could post them, I decided to start this account for anyone who might be interested. Please feel free to offer feedback if you’d like, and I hope to create new content once I see any interest expressed.
